"Quicker than rice krispie treats and tastier than Reese's"

3 cups corn flakes, crushed
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
6 ounces chocolate chips

Directions:

Heat peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat to melt. Stir in cereal.

Pat into a 8x8 lightly greased pan. (I line my pan with foil and then lightly spray it. When it is time to cut them, the foil lifts right out.).

Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in the microwave and spread over top. Cool until firm

1 15 ounce can tropical fruit
1 package of orange cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup instant oatmeal
1 cup coconut flakes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dump both of the fruits & their juices into a 9 x 12 Pyrex baking dish. Pour the dry cake mix on top of the fruit & spread out evenly. Mix oatmeal & coconut & sprinkle over cake mixture with fingers. Melt butter & pour on top evenly. It should cover the entire cake mix. Bake for one hour & serve with ice cream.

Crescent Roll Taco  Dinner
2 crescent roll tubes
1 LB ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
1 or 2 diced tomatoes depending on size
1/2 small can sliced olives if desired
Sour cream optional
sliced avocado optional

Lay out the two tubes of crescent pastry, thick sides in. Use some of the left over crescent rolls to to make the center a bit thicker. 
Brown beef and add taco seasoning. 
Lay beef in a circle inside of the laid out crescent rolls
Add cheese to the top
Pull over crescent rolls and tuck in under meat and cheese. 
Add cheese, lettuce, tomato, black olives, sour cream or whatever you desire for your tacos, in the middle.

BEER BATTER COCONUT SHRIMP
6 oz. beer
5 eggs
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
...
MARMALADE SAUCE:

1 jar orange marmalade
1 horseradish root

Also will need:

16 lg. shrimp (without shells)
8 oz. shredded coconut

Mix all ingredients for Beer Batter.

Double dip the large shrimp in the beer batter then the coconut. Deep fry until golden brown.

In a ginger, fine grind the fresh, peeled horseradish root then mix with the marmalade. Put in separate serving dishes or shells to serve as a dip for the shrimp. Garnish with lemon, orange, lime wedges
Root Beer Float Cake W. Root Beer Spiced Whipped Cream Frosting

1 (18 ounce) package Betty Crocker super moist white cake mix
1 1/4 cupswater
1/3 cup vegetable oil
... 3 egg whites
1/2 teaspoonground allspice
1/2 teaspoonground cinnamon

Root Beer Spiced Whipping Cream
1 cupheavy cream, whipped
2 tablespoonspowdered sugar
1/4 teaspoonallspice
1/4 teaspooncinnamon
2 tablespoons crushed root beer decorative candies (garnish)

Directions:

Heat oven to 350°F Grease bottom only of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

Beat cake mix, water, oil, and egg whites in large bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds; move to medium speed for 2 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of batter.

To the reserved batter, add the allspice and cinnamon; stir and set aside. Pour remaining batter into pan.

Drop the reserved batter by tablespoons all around the batter in the pan (about 12 to 14 mounds); swirl the batter together in an “S” shape.

Bake 28 to 33 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely for 1 hour. After cake is cooled, make frosting.

Beat all the ingredients of the frosting together in a chilled bowl until soft peaks form. Frost the cake. Just before serving, sprinkle each piece with crushed root beer candies. Store covered in refrigerator.
